Biography

Zhu Zhanyong works in the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University and is a chief physician. He has extensive clinical experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery of the auricle, eyes, and nose, and has conducted in-depth research on the pathogenesis and treatment mechanisms of diabetic wounds. He has led 1 National Natural Science Foundation of China project, 6 provincial- and ministerial-level projects, and 4 university-level projects, and has participated as a core researcher in 5 provincial- and municipal-level projects. He has published 25 papers as first author (or corresponding author), including 17 SCI papers, and has contributed to 4 related monographs (as chief editor of 2 and associate editor of 2). He was named a “People's Anti-Epidemic Hero” by Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University and has for consecutive years been awarded honorary titles such as Outstanding Communist Party Member, Outstanding Clinical Teacher, and Advanced Worker of Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University. He is currently supervising 3 master's students.
